Choosing Joy

It’s all about choice.

There will always be stairs we need to climb that we know not where they lead.

The roads we must travel are the same whether seen through a filter of gray or the bright sunlight.

What really matters is that we take time to stop along the way to admire the details

and enjoy the company of all living creatures.

For it is in doing so that we find ourselves in awe of the gift that is life

and bursting with a joy that only comes in those moments

of being fully, truly and blissfully alive.

  1. Nice photos and I particularly like this last one the best.

  2. Beautiful photographic reflection.
I love how this resolves in that smallest, bursting detail.

  3. The tree is so beautiful here! I love how it has lacey qualities in the leaves but the focus is on the trunk, forcing us to think of strength and endurance.

  4. I admire you for embracing the joys, as well as challenges, of life’s journey. For so many of us, our ‘fear of falling’ makes each step a trial, rather than an adventure. And sadly, it truly is a matter of choice. We can choose to live life as an adventure. It’s something I will have to work at.
